Blackberry very portable fast charger.


With the recently-announced BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100, RIM will be updating the power plug charger with a USB cable and wall adapter for easier packing. Those of you who have any Apple products will be familiar with the design, and even older BlackBerry users might remember a miniUSB wall adapter RIM used to provide. The positioning seems a little weird to me – side instead of bottom? It works for power bars, where space is a premium, in any other situation, the bottom seems more ideal. I’d also be curious if RIM if employing any smart power management with the new accessory – for example, something that shuts off the current after your phone is fully charged, because let’s face it, as much as we’re reminded to unplug our chargers after we’re done, nobody ever does. On the plus side, this modular format will also allow you to charge other gizmos that play nice with a standard USB cable.
