Ad Description

I often received questions from people living abroad on why should they invest in a Philippine condo. The answer I give them is simple. We are living in Asia's century and newly emerging economies like Philippines is poised for unprecedented growth which will see foreign direct investments increase by leaps and bounds.

Jim Rogers has famously commented that, if you were smart in the 18th century, you moved to France. If you were smart in the 19th century, you moved to England. If you were smart in the 20th century, you moved to the US. And if you're smart in the 21st century, you move to Asia.

It's an absolutely true statement. Each time I'm in Asia, I'm overwhelmed at not only the massive opportunity that abounds for productive, creative, intelligent people, but also what a huge difference there is in cultural sentiment.

From Singapore (where I just departed last night) to Vietnam to Mongolia to the Philippines, Asia is full of optimism and confidence, not doom and gloom.

The reason is simple. Asian economies are based on production and savings. Western economies are based on consumption and debt. The market is simply reshuffling wealth, capital, and opportunity appropriately.

What's nice is that, like our ancestors before us who moved abroad in search of a better life, anyone can choose to take advantage of this trend.

For someone seeking employment, for example, Asia and in particular the Philippines is full of prospects for both workers and professionals. English teachers are in incredibly high demand across the continent. Experienced professionals are routinely awarded with handsome executive compensation, raking in huge salaries from Abu Dhabi to Beijing. Filipinos working overseas will attest to this fact.

Aside from the nice food and beautiful Filipinas, the best thing to indulge in the Philippines is to own a luxurious condo in the leading financial district of Makati. Makati is the place to live, work and play. Choice locations in the CBD command good rental yields of as high as 12 % or higher. Where there are jobs there will also have a pool of tenants to rent the condos in the close proximity. Foreigners can own 100 % of the condo units which is an unique opportunity to ride on the high profile growth in capital gains envisaged for Makati condos.

Quite apart from the possibility of working in Singapore, Hong Kong or China, this is not a bar to your owning a Makati condo. Aside from the employment opportunities, unique investment opportunities abound by investing in a Makati condo in anticipation of wanting a passive income when you retire. I had a meeting with some Filipinos in Singapore who were telling me about a number of really fantastic options and they are even aware of landmark projects such as Century City in the Makati CBD. The triumph of the cluster of condos in Century Cityis the spectacular Trump Tower Manila which is now 80% sold out.

Opportunities for entrepreneurs are also substantial; business thrives where there is access to capital and a growing, affluent customer base. This is Asia and this is Makati's century. Institutional investors are investing in entire floors in Century City projects. The economic growth in Asia and in the Philippines is fanning condo demand in Makati. The freedom of movement of capital in ASEAN is another contributing factor to this unprecedented growth across Asia and the Philippines in particular.

The most extraordinary opportunities in the world are across the Pacific right here in Makati. If you're hungry, the choice is obvious.

The inertia and resistance to take your next step may be daunting, but let us be the team that takes you through this preliminary economic analysis and its convincing conclusion that this is Asia's century and how by investing in a Makati condo you can realize your dreams of a better life for you and your family.
