DAY 1

Meet your tour coordinators upon arrival at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport. You will be taken to a local dinner as a form of welcome and take you to the hotel later in the evening. Shanghai is People’s Republic of China’s largest city in terms of population with 23 million residents to date. Dubbed to be among the world’s alpha cities, Shanghai is distinguished to be a leader in fashion, culture, commerce, finance, media, technology and transport. 

DAY 2

You have a full day ahead of you and it begins with a stroll at The Bund—a long stretch of road, which boasts a number of Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classical and Renaissance inspired structures. Continue on to China’s 3.4 mile-long premier shopping street, Nanjing Lu. Packed with specialty stores and traditional shops, this can single-handedly be proclaimed as one of Shanghai’s busiest districts. Bargain like a pro when you stop by temple-turned-market-place Yu Garden. In the afternoon, take an educational tour on the process of producing silk. If you are in want of quality silk bed sheets and scarves, you might be in luck today. Next on your list is the Orient Pearl TV Tower, the third tallest TV and radio tower next to that of Toronto and Moscow. For something different, discover the amazing jade craftsmanship which has been passed on from generation to generation at the Tianmai Jade Museum. What better way to end your day than a cruise at the Huang Pu River. Check out awe-inspiring views of the city from your yacht.

DAY 3

Make the most out of your local guide’s knowledge on your last full tour day and learn why Shanghai is said to be a melting pot of culture, beginning with one of the prominent Islamic mosques in the city. After this, take a detour to Nanjing Road—China’s first commercial street. Later in the afternoon, pull into China’s oldest pharmaceutical chain—Tong Ren Tang. Your day will end at Tian Zi Fang, a distinct enclave in the city of Shanghai known for its bistros and art galleries.

DAY 4

The rest of the day is free at your own leisure. Please notify your local guide on the time of your departure for your airport transfers.
