This Blemish Treatment Lotion is a Salicylic Acid acne product for the treatment of acne blemishes, pimples and blackheads. The active ingredient, Salicylic Acid, is combined with a base of natural botanical extracts. Together they create an effective lotion that penetrates pores while drying and helping to clear up acne blemishes, allowing the skin to heal. Suggested Use


Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying medication.
Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a physician.
If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.

Other Ingredients

Free of preservatives, parabens, mineral oil, petroleum, artificial colors and artificial fragrance.


Warnings

For external use only.
Flammable, keep away from open fire or flame.
When using this product.

Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, immediately flush with water.
Using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a doctor.

Stop use and ask a doctor if skin sensitivity occurs.
Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

I've had a bad history with cystic-type acne as a child. Once I reached adult-hood my face was okay until my first child was born. My acne came back with the vengence. Trying the Home Health Blemish Lotion and Wash has been a gift from heaven. These products work! And I don't require oral medication like I used too, as well. I don't go anywhere without them!

This stuff saved my skin. I have really dry, acne-prone skin. About 6 months ago, out of nowhere, I started getting tons of tiny zits all over my forehead and *nothing* would get rid of them. I tried everything....changed shampoos, kept using my medications (Retin-A and Clenia), changed bcp...nothing helped. I was looking at products at iherb.com and stumbled upon this lotion (it's actually the consistency of a toner, not lotion) and decided to give it a try. Within a week my forehead was almost completely clear! What a relief. Another great aspect of this product is that it doesn't dry out my skin like a lot of other SA products do. I currently use this 2-3 times a day, usually just on my forehead. Definitely give this product a try...it's inexpensive and it works.

I bought this because the ingredients looked 100% natural. The .5% salicylic acid is a little too weak but it still made me peel a little. On application this toner stings for about 3-5 seconds and then quickly cooled down to a nice tingly, minty sensation. It helps keep my comedonal acne under control, so I will be repurchasing.
