DAY 1

Welcome to Indonesia’s largest city. As the country’s gateway to the world, Jakarta is known for its numerous parks and thronged shopping squares. As your tour guide drives you to the hotel, see Jakarta passing in colors of gold and red. The rest of the day is free for you to chance on the allures enveloped in this city.

DAY 2

Shortly after breakfast, jump on a full-day excursion around Jakarta. Begin with a tour to the National Monument which hallmarks Indonesia’s fight for independence. Continue with a visit to the Palace of Merdeka–the official residence of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. You also get the opportunity to see the Masjid Istiqlal–the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. Considered as a house of praise to many, this mosque was established to signify the nation’s gratitude for God’s blessings. With the Our Lady of Assumption Catholic church standing just across this mosque, one will be able to easily infer that Jakarta’s all-embracing culture has made it the vibrant megalopolis that the world now recognizes. In the afternoon, take a cable car ride to Taman Mini.

DAY 3

The entire day will be devoted to a tour of Jakarta’s many shopping quarters. As the largest wholesale complex in Asia, enjoy bagging some great electronic goods and perfumes as they are cheaper when bought in bulk. For some high-end shopping, head to the Senayan City where you can find global brands such as Debenhams, GAP and Banana Republic.

DAY 4

Your tour ends today but if you still have plenty of time, collect some keepsakes to remind you of your short trip to Asia’s Big Durian.
