1. Watthour is equivalent to 1 Watt utilized for 1 hour. For example, an electric fan with a capacity of 40 watts will consume 40 watthours if you use it for 1 hour.
2. In Ohm's Law, Power is equals to Watts.
3. For a system using a Direct Current (DC) Power Source, Power or Watts is equals to Voltage multiplied by the Amperes. This formula should not be used in evaluating the savings of any power saver if you are using an AC Power Source.
4. For an Alternating Current (AC) Power Source like the ones being supplied by the Power Company, Power or Watts is equals to Voltage multiplied by Amperes multiplied by Power Factor (Watts = Voltage x Amperes x Power Factor). This is the formula that should be used in evaluating the savings of any Power Saver.
