Sound level meters are commonly used in industrial noise pollution studies. Used by all Professional Engineers
Sound level meter is used to measure the sound pressure level; these devices are primarily used to determine noise pollution levels. Different model sound level meters have different methods of operation though most have more or less the same functionality.
They are generally small (hand held), portable and use batteries. The sound level meter will have a microphone, LCD or analog display and function buttons. The amount of function buttons relates to the complexity of the unit but most have a power, hold and minimum and maximum function. Range, time and weighting are other common function buttons.
805L Mini Sound Level Meter has a wide dynamic range from 30 to 130dB. It has different frequency weighting A and C to respond to human sense or machine monitoring purposes. For different sound pattern, it also supplies fast and slow time constant setting.
Ranges from 30dB to 130dB at frequencies between 31.5Hz and 8 KHz.
Display with 0.1dB steps on a 4-digits LCD.
With two equivalent weighted sound pressure levels, A and C.
