MANILA, Philippines – Prime real estate group Century Properties recently raised the bar of luxury living in Makati, by sealing a multi-million dollar partnership with fashion powerhouse, Versace, and launching the country’s first globally-branded residential tower: the Milano Residences. 

This 52-story tower is the fourth building to rise in the real estate company’s 3.4-hectare Century City, and will embody the fashion brand’s iconic Italian design. Century Properties chairman, Jose E.B. Antonio, labeled the new project as “limited edition collectible real estate” that’s set to be an evolution of luxury in the Philippines. “This is our way of reinforcing Century Properties’ vision to develop innovative and outstanding real estate developments through the years. We believe that this is another strong statement to help Makati and Manila realize its potential to become a truly cosmopolitan city with international standards,” he said. As partner, Versace, through Versace Homes, will be in charge of accomplishing the interior design of the project’s amenities and public spaces.
 
There will also be provisions of decorating the units of future home owners who wish to carry the Versace line into their homes. Versace Home has been known as the styling arm of various prominent landmarks all over the globe such as the Damac Tower in Beirut, the Versace Palace on Australia’s Gold coast, the Plaza Hotel in New York, and the soon-to-be-completed Palazzo Versace Dubai, considered the group’s largest project to date. The global brand is famous for its famous “art de vivre” slogan established by its founder, Gianni Versace, which extends the appreciation of beauty in other aspects aside from fashion.
 
The Versace signature, known for its highest standard in elegance, the use of the highest quality of materials, close attention to detail and superb craftsmanship, will be evident in the new project’s common areas such as the grand lobby, the roof garden, the pool area, the fitness center, the spa, the Juice Bar, the meditation/yoga garden, the function room and business center, the Milano Piazza, and the state-of-the-art library.
 
The library, which will be an interactive space of information materials from books to digital data on international art and culture, was conceptualized as part of the project’s global direction. The design concept will echo Versace’s latest, ready-to-wear fashion collections – the Versace Greek motif, reinterpreted on the overall signature of the interiors as seen on the tiles, columns and tapestry set used in the lobby, the wellness area and even along the poolside. 

This Greek signature will also be visible on the building façade – an architecture achieved by Broadway Malyan, a leading award-winning group of international architects, urbanists and designers who also designed Vauxhall Tower in London and Obel in Belfast. Residential units will also radiate luxury when it comes to design. Space is not a problem as even the smallest unit, a one-bedroom suite, will have ample room to move around.
 
Also available are two-bedroom suites, three-bedroom suites, a sky townhouse, penthouse units, and a loggia – homes of Italian design. These are two-level units with a balcony and private plunge pools. Those who will opt to have Versace Home furniture and furnishings such as beds, living and dining area furniture, as well as tiles and columns inside the bathroom, can opt for a separate package that will be presented upon purchase of a unit. “To have a Versace Home interior-designed address presents a rare opportunity, and an immense value to both end users and investors, for units are very few and are considered highly collectible,” said Robbie Antonio, Century Properties managing director, and Milano Residences project head. 

The launch of the Milano Residences is one of the highlights of the developer's 25th anniversary celebration in 2011.
