On the styling front, the 2014 Prado is equipped with 'fanged' lamps and LED daytime running lights, along with an extravagant grille design that gets meatier bars and bold chrome frame. 

Changes at the rear end are limited to a new lens design for the existing tail-lamps and a bolder new garnish and number-plate surround.

There's also an upgraded front bumper design, with the new over-sized styling affording better protection to the radiator grille and headlights. 

Updated Interior layout to the centre stack and switches, and an updated instrument panel. 

Powertrain
Land Cruiser Prado will continue to use its proven 188bhp 3.0-litre turbo diesel engine, matched to a five-speed automatic transmission. The four-cylinder, 16-valve unit has been revised to meet Euro 5+ emissions standards, but with no decrease in performance: 420Nm of torque is available from 1,600 to 3,00rpm and zero to 100 kph acceleration is accomplished in 10.2 seconds (three-door) or 11.0 seconds (five-door); CO2 emissions have been reduced slightly to 209 and 214g/km for the three and five-door models respectively

Driving upgrades include revisions to both the standard suspension and Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System packages, improving stability and ride comfort.

Safety is also improved for 2014, with the addition of a Rear Cross Traffic Alert system, along with trailer sway control and emergency brake signal.
